X-Men: Days of Future Past is a super hero movie released first on 10th May, 2014 at Javits center, on 22nd May, 2014 in UK and on 23rd May, 2014 in US directed by Bryan Singer and produced by Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, and Hutch Parker. The film is a sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: First Class.
The entire story is about how mutants in the present unite and try to alter an event occurred in the past which lead to cataclysmic consequences in the present.
The story starts in the year 2023 when the Sentinels, the sentient robots are exterminating mutants and are oppressing humans. A small group of mutant survivors evade the sentinels using the powers of Kitty Pryde with the ability to project a person’s consciousness back in time to deliver warnings.
To prevent Mystique from murdering Bolivar Trask, the lead designer of the Sentinels, Kitty, Magneto and Professor X plan to send Wolverine’s consciousness back in time. This murder leads to war against mutants. Professor X explains the entire situation to the Wolverine (Jackman) and tells that the latter has to go back in time to the year, 1973 and contact a young Charles Xavier (AcAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Fassbender). Wolverine is sent back in time with the help of Kitty Pryde’s powers. She’s to take out Dr. Bolivar Trask (Drinklage), the one who created the Sentinels to kill the mutants.
With many characters and complex plot, the movie is surprisingly easy to follow due to the cogent and clever distinctions between front-line and secondary plots and characters. Wolverine holds the film together and Mystique makes the pace going on. Singer keeps the balance between the roles as well as the transitions between past and present. There are many fantastic effects and doesn’t feel like overbearing. Days of Future Past manages by combining almost everything we love in the X-Men series.
Verdict: Overall X-Men: Days of Future Past is a continuous entertainer from the start to the end and is a paisa vasool film. It is not recommended to miss this one.
