Transformers: Age of Extinction, released on 19th June, 2014 worldwide and on 27th June, 2014 in US is a Hollywood science fiction action film directed by Michael Bay and produced by Don Murphy, Tom De Santo, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Ian Bryce starring Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci.
The story takes place four years after the invasion of Chicago. An entire new cast of human characters are introduced in this film and the transformers include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Leadfoot, and Brains.
Cade Yeager is a largely unsuccessful robotic expert living with his 17-year-old daughter Tessa on a Texan ranch. He keeps his daughter away from boys and tries to make a ground-breaking invention. A CIA honcho is killing all Auto bots. Cade comes across injured Optimus Prime and for some reason he helps him. The story is about how the good bots, Auto bots and the three people try to fight against bad bots to save the Earth. You’ll find three separate armies of Auto bots fighting each other. You can’t predict what started the war and who is fighting whom. You’ll just wait for it to end.
All the special effects reach your expectations. These are loud, long, and big. There is a scene where a spaceship hovers in the sky sucking in everything from Earth and throwing it out. That is an impressive scene. You’ll enjoy watching few auto bots turning into giants, salivating mix of dinosaurs and dragons.
Mark Wahlberg did a great job in the beginning. Also there are scenes between him and his daughter which are funny but later on, you’ll this strict father all time guarding his daughter. Stanley Tucci's Joshua Joyce was the only character that stands out in this film. This fourth film in this series definitely raised hopes in the audience but compared to the previous one, it failed. Even the climax wasn’t that good.
Verdict: Overall. Transformers: Age of Extinction couldn’t reach up to the mark and disappointed the audience. It’s average movie but still, transformers’ fans may still want to watch.
