The Prince is a Hollywood gangster thriller film directed by Brian A. Miller and produced by George Furla, Adam Goldworm, Ho-Sung Pak, Fred Song starring Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, Rain, Jessica Lowndes, Jonathon Schaech, Gia Mantegna, 50 Cent.
Paul played by Jason Patric turns to be a devoted dad whose life used to be a life of crime. But he has to go back to his past to locate and rescue his daughter Beth played by Gia Mantegna in a way through a trail of bad guys. On this process he faces an old gangster nemesis Omar played by Bruce Willis.
Here Paul, the Prince plays as an angry dad who can do anything to get his daughter back home. He’ll break as many bones as necessary and fire anyone if needed for his daughter who is a nice college type girl.
Paul and his boss Omar are now on a collision course during this process to find his daughter. The once upon a time used to be mobster, Paul is now on the mend but he has to get back to his past and bring his old skills back to do this job.
The casting will definitely raise few eyebrows and the starter, Willis is convincing enough as a bad guy. He has always done as good guy and it’s time to get hands dirty. In most of the scenes, he looks bored. Paul seems a ruthless man on mission in this film and his performance seems forced although he tried his best. Cusack seems so irritable in most of the scenes. The pharmacist played by 50 Cent is okey.
Verdict: The Prince seems to have good fight scenes otherwise it’s a bland film.
