The Grand Budapest Hotel is a Hollywood drama film directed by Wes Anderson and produced by Wes Anderson, Jeremy Dawson, Steven M. Rales, Scott Rudin starring Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Saoirse Ronan, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Lea Sevdoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvev Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Tony Revolori.

Ralph Fiennes’s performance and his witty lines make this movie a pure entertainer. But of course that is not the only reason why this movie is worth watching on the big screen. Other actors like Tony Revolori etc. have contributed the most in this movie and truly need good appreciation.

A story line set in the period between the two world wars, in an imaginary Eastern European land, this movie passes perfectly for drama. The acting and the amount of hard work put in by the actors is purely evident with their effortlessly easy performance on screen that captivates every viewer’s eyes and hearts. To name a particular scene, the prison break scene is most probably the best in the whole movie. Wes Anderson makes sure that you sit with nail biting suspense throughout the movie. Moreover, there is not a single scene in the movie that is predictable.

You will not be able to tell what happens next and that is what makes a good movie. A true entertainer is totally unpredictable and “The grand Budapest hotel” is everything that fits in the description of a true entertainer. Be it the serious looking humour scenes that through us into fits of laughter or the perfectly well planned scenes that develop the plot, the movie has got the perfect actors to do the task.

What do you probably get when you cast a handful of talented actors? You get the best movie and you probably won’t be watching another one anytime soon with another plot and another director. The editing is great; the entire technical crew has given their best. The movie makes you believe that you are watching an old theatre drama and not a recently shot, well groomed and created modern era ancient movie.

Verdict: Over all, the movie scores a grand high among the viewers with its grand scenes of the Budapest hotel. The interiors and the dressing of the actors are all created with utmost care and effort and at times, you will truly feel that you have entered a world of ancient times.
