The Fault in Our Stars is a romantic comedy drama film directed by Josh Boone and produced by Godfrey, Marty Bowen starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Nat Wolff, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Willem Dafoe. It was released on 6th June, 2014 in US and it’s based on the novel, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

 

The story revolves around two cancer patients, Hazel and Gus who fall in love with each other knowing there won’t be a happy ending.

 

When you know that you may not live another day, is it possible to fall in love? The Fault in Our Stars is a bestselling book and so it was guarantee for the film to be a hit.

 

Hazel and Augustus Waters meet at a cancer support group and then sparks fly. He fears oblivion but she believes it’s inevitable. With his company, she discovers a world beyond hospitals, medication, pain and cancer. They share their passion for books, common fears, etc. with each other till death comes to them.

 

It’s a feel good movie and a must watch. It’s an unpretentious love story. Moreover the performances by the actors made the characters come alive. The film isn’t about crying over what you may lose but it’s all about learning to live with what you do and what you have. It’s not the fear of death which makes life bitter.

 

Verdict:

The Fault in Our Stars is a must watch feel good wonderful movie like the book. Go and watch it and learn how to live happily.
