Run Raja Run is a Tollywood romantic and comedy film directed by Sujeeth and produced by Uppalapati Pramod, V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy starring Sharwanand, Seerat Kapoor, Adivi Sesh, Sampath Raj.
Sharwanand is a talented actor but few of his films weren’t hit at all but now he’s back again and this time, it’s Run Raja Run.
A series of kidnappings are taking place in the series and so a special officer, Sampath was appointed to take charge of this case. At the same time, there’s a young guy, Raja who keeps on breaking up with girls just to find out his right match. Then he comes across Sampath’s daughter Priya and falls in love with her. Sampath gets to know about this and so, assigns Raja a special task of catching the kidnapper to win his daughter’s hand. Then a twist takes place and things take a U turn. So, can Raja solve the problem? What is the mystery and will he win Priya’s hand?
Sharwanand with this film, proved himself as a powerhouse performer. His cool looks, high energy and excellent acting skills in his role are just superb. The story is a highlight here and all the twists and turns are unique and impressing. Seerat Kapoor is just ok with her debut film while Adavi Sesh is surprising. His role was designed cleverly and he had done it very well. First half of the film is very interesting compared to the second half. It’s full of romance, comedy, and twists and turns. Both Dilip and Vennela Kishore have also done their part very nicely.
First 15 minutes of the second half became the minus point of Run Raja Run and then starts the unnecessary scenes and songs. The film has twists and turns but once it is revealed, the rest of the story is predictable. The climax also seems hurried up.
The production values, camera work, selection of locations, songs shooting, etc. were really good. Ghibran’s music is also quite interesting and so was the background score. The director, Sujeeth succeeded in impressing the audience in first attempt itself. The way he had showcased the story is very interesting. Screenplay and the way the twists are revealed were quite good and editing is just ok.
Verdict: Though Run Raja Run bogs down a bit, it’s a perfect come back for Sharwanand. The breezy entertaining film is obviously recommended for a watch.
