Rabhasa is a Telugu action film directed by Santosh Srinivas and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, Bellamkonda Ganesh Babu starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pranitha Subhash, Brahmanandam.

Karthik (NTR) returns to his native village from USA after completing his studies. To fulfill his mother's wish, he goes to Hyderabad to woo his cruel uncle's daughter, Indu (Samantha). During this process, he gets entangled in an exceedingly raging family feud between Gangi Reddy (Nagineedu) and Peddi Reddy (Jaya Prakash Reddy).

There’s no reference to Jr. NTR’s grandpa, NTR, in the entire film. No punch dialogue can evoke the late matinee idol. More than life aspects are all present. NTR makes an amazing entry smashing through a fortified wall, air borne on a Bullet 350, holding go of the bike middle air - that is when the camera pans in on his face - before landing on his feet in film atop a SUV, cracking its window glasses into collection whereas the background score goes run over the human loud levels. Within the next ten minutes, he cracks many sleazy one liners, beats the crap out of a gang of over dozen and half goons and frees a person and his family from the clutches of the goons.

The elaborate rescue act is strategically geared towards forestall Dhanunjaya(Sayaji Shinde) from becoming the city mayor of Hyderabad. Motivation for Karthik's heroics lies in his mother (Jayasudha) desperate to have Indu as her daughter-in-law. Well, Indu is the daughter of Dhanunjaya who is the brother-in-law of Karthik's father. Jayasudha guarantees her dying sister-in-law (Sana) to make Karthik married to Indu. Dhanunjaya although has an axe to grind along with his brother-in-law and would not let that happen. Therefore our man's mission is straightforward - do no matter what it takes to marry Indu to keep his mother's promise. There are a few flashbacks that drag Karthik into a raging factionist feud between Gangi Reddy and Peddi Reddy. These films are being too predictable. Even as a scene begins we all know what is going to happen next and thereafter. Similar hit action-dramas like Brindavanam, Mirchi, and Attarintiki Daredi are difficult to miss.

NTR is in his role has done everything he can - action, dance, comedy- with equanimity. However we have seen him this way many times and it isn't much fun any longer. Maybe it is time for the actor to assume on the far side appeasing his core fan base. He is simply obtaining somewhat too repetitive. Samantha most of the screen time and plays the lady in love with a stranger who helps her friends elope so convincingly. Indu calls a random phone number as the villains are on the point to get her friend and then her phone runs out of battery.

There is a comedy track targeted on Brahmanadam, but unfortunately it's the sole bright spot in the movie. The music is ok despite being déjà vu as is that the case with most of Thaman's compositions. At the climax comes a message - intlo unna aadavallani ardham chesukunevade nijamaina magadu ra (The real man is that the one who understands the ladies in the house).

Verdict: If you are not an NTR fan you may simply regret watching this one. It’s just for NTR fans.
