Slowly Meghana starts liking him and then she meets her childhood friend, Pooja and gets to now that she’s Siddharth’s would be fiancé. Depressed Meghana then foresees Pooja being killed by Siddharth with her ESP power. Why Siddharth does wants to kill her? What could be the reason and could Meghana rescue Pooja? To know more, you need to watch the film on the screen.
Avanthika has done a good job in her debut film and Harshavardhan rane did a matured performance here. The very first scene of this film will set your mood to watch it for sure. The scenes where Meghana foresees the future were shown very interestingly. The second half was very good with few twists while the climax was excellent.
The film starts very well but unfortunately falls drastically later on. Except few scenes, the first half is just ok. This part is solely made for the couple to fall in love due to which you’ll find few unnecessary scenes as well. Unnecessary songs are found in the second half s well. The film was told to be a thriller film but there are not much thrilling scenes.
The visuals and cinematography is very rich and good. Songs were shot well while Shekar Chandra’s music is just ok and the background score is fine. Editing was good but the editors could have concentrated more on the first half. The concept of Maya was really good but he failed to showcase it well. The execution of the story could have been better.
Verdict: Except few scenes like the opening scene, climax, and few thrilling scenes, there’s not much to watch in Maya. It lacks the essential thrill which is a must for this type of film. Only multiplexed audience may like it.
