Mardaani is a Hindi crime drama film directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra starring Rani Mukerji, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jisshu Sengupta.
Mardaani is about a female cop who tries to tackle with the case of a kidnapped teenage girl leading her to uncover secrets of human trafficking by Indian mafia.
Recently we’re seeing many fearless cops on the screen. It was Singham last week and now it’s Shivani Shivaji Roy played by Rani Mukerji, a lady cop. The film took inspiration from real events. Now it’s Rani’s turn to search the teenager who was missed from a local Mumbai shelter. Her objective here is to track down those orphan kidnappers. The thrilling encounter of Rani wih a baddie, Karan Rastogi in Mumbai and the action later in Delhi is enjoyable. The plot is quite predictable and you’ve seen them before in many films but still it’s quite enjoyable the way it is and for Rani’s superb performance. Her punches and unbashed use of Hindi expletives should work with lowest common denominator.
Verdict: All the actors have done very nice job especially Rani Mukerji for her killing skills. You can definitely go and watch it but it’s advised children not to watch it.
