Mad About Dance

Mad About Dance is a Bollywood Dance film directed by Saahil Prem starring Saahil Prem, Amit Maghera, Salah Benlemqawanssa, Akhilesh Unnithan, Raashul Tondon, Abhishek Saha. It focuses on the youth, dreams, disappointments, anxiety, hopes, etc. It’s based on few Asian students who go abroad to study where their struggles, dreams, heartbreaks, trials and triumphs are seen. This bunch of Asian dancers in UK is going to take the challenge to dance face off with national champions. The locks, pops, breaks these guys do are really good. They are smooth, fast and footloose. The main part or the heart of the plot rests on the dance floor.

Aarav Anand’s big dream is to join his idol Caesar’s dance group. To track his dance guru, he moves to Sheffield with little money and pounds of passion. He meets few other young guys with same passion and bonds with them. He meets a UK born Indian girl, Aashira who sees partner in him and falls in love with him. Then the Asian dance crew is born to participate in a fierce dance battle at national level.

The film is good and cheerful but for a dance film, it lacks energy, enthusiasm, pace and a good soundtrack. The lead pair and all the remaining dance casts burn the floor. Saahil got aggressive moves while Amrit is smooth on the dance floor. The last dance is amazing.

Verdict: Overall, MAD is for dance lovers. Go and watch it with your friends this weekend and you’ll keep on dancing even after getting out of the theatre.
