Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai is a Hindi film directed by Debaloy Dey starring Bhanu Uday, Swara Bhaskar, Murli Sharma and Reema Debnath. It was released on 13th June, 2014.
The story revolves around all paranormal experiences of a house wife in a new house. Ayesha and Uday Saxena are a happily married couple living in the city, Mumbai with their four year old son, Sunny. Uday is a mechanical engineer in a private company.
While coming back home from a party, the family meets with an accident when the other driver dies on the windshield of Ayesha which totally depresses her. Uday gets an offer from his boss to manage Jabalpur factory. Uday gets busy with his job and rearrangements of their lives but Ayesha feels presence of someone in their new house and it grows with time. She starts behaving in a bizarre manner later on.
Horror is a kind of genre where novelty can’t be expected. And if the scenes are able to scare you then it’s motto is achieved. Insignificant characters made the movie lengthy taking away from the content. The plot is bit weak and the sound effects are also average.
Swarna Bhaskar was quite impressive in her first horror film but it still failed while Bhanu Uday was just decent.
Verdict: If you get scared easily, then this film can be preferred but if you like horror movies, then try watching Ram Gopal Varma’s horror films.
