Khoobsurat also known as Disney’s Khoobsurat is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Siddharth Roy Kapoor starring Sonam Kapoor, Fawad Afzal Khan. It is based on 2001 Hollywood film, The Princess Diaries, and 1980 film on the same name.

The story revolves around a couple, Mili, spirited doctor and Vikram, stiff prince about their love.

Khoobsurat is a pretty hilarious Dr. Mrialini Chakravarty aka Mili who is a psychotherapist and was hired to help Rajasthan Royal Shekhar Rathore. Rani Nirmala and Yuvraj Vikram expect to be quiet medics who blend blandly into royal discipline but with a live wire who teases dishy Yuvraj who drinks wine wih her charge.

Sonam have done this finest role very fairly and so smoothly. She is matched perfectly with hipster heart throb Fawad Khan who played as Vikram.

The couple sizzled the screen but the giggles go to Kirron Kher who played as Mili’s mother Manju with her funny lines. Kirron’s vibrant role balanced the Ratna Pathak’s grim self control very finely. Aamir Raza Husain’s wine soaked self pity shows some spark too.

The best part comes here. The chemistry between the lead pair is like a good fragrance is in the air while the evolution of Mili turning from wild child to dignified woman and Vikram turning from stick in royal sand to a confused and vulnerable man.

Verdict: Then an underdone kidnapping with overdone Bengaliness distracts the film slightly. However, most of the time, the delightful romance tickles your funside. That is why it is khoobsurat.
