Gone Girl is a Hollywood mystery thriller film directed by David Fincher and produced by Leslie Dixon, Bruna Papandrea, Reese Witherspoon, Ceán Chaffin starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry. The film was shot based on the novel with the same name.
Fincher is back with mixing forensic procedure of zodiac with layful high gloss sheen of the Game to wrong foot the audience. This leads them on merry dance of dealth through the maze of modern marriage.
On 5th anniversary, bar owner Nick Dunne finds Missouri home with frontdoor open, his glass table overturned and broken, and his wife missing. Detective Rhonda Boney senses it's not as it seems to be. Domestic disputes and financial problems turns the finger towards Nick. Where did she go and what is the mystery behind it? Will the Detective be able to solve this? To know everthing in detail, the film should be watched on screen.
The cinematographer kept the visual tone cool and detached even if the events heat up. it's a picture perfect world where untouched clatrity of crime is presented. This 149 min film neither drags not is mood settler.. It slips from classy narcissistic humor to exploitation inflected thrills.
Verdict: Gone Girl can definitely be watched on the screen for the unexpectable mysterious crime.
