Bikram played by Ranveer Singh and Balaplayed by Arjun Kapoor are two best buddies grown up together facing all the difficulties together and the entire story revolves around how these two guysturned into goons and then how they fall in love with Nanditha played by Priyanka Chopra. The two heroes while kids were suffering from hunger when they were made to smuggle guns by a man called Lateef. These two then somehow escape in a train and reach Calcutta. Starting with working in a restaurant they slowly turned themselves as thieves and stole coal and sold in the market for lesser price. With time they grew up as most wanted goons for coal smuggling. These guys then slowly turn their work into legal business by building their own mills and finding sources. They become the good type of goons and also do many good deeds such as building hospitals, schools, providing work to the poor etc. Then enters Nandita played by Priyanka Chopra who is a cabaret dancer. The story sequence goes on where these two buddies fall for Nanditha. The story then continues with Nandita falling in love with Bikram and the breakage of friendship bond of these two best buddies. Then after some story their friendship rebinds and in the process of chase by the police, a single bullet touches them and the screen shuts down.

 
Verdict: Bikram and Bala’s friendhip bond is shown beautifully in Gundey at the same time Bikram and Nandita’s chemistry also goes very well.
