Entertainment is a Hindi comedy film drirected by Sajid-Farhad and produced by Ramesh S. Taurani, Jayantilal Gada starring Akshay Kumar, Tamannah Bhatia, Johnny Lever, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj.
The story is about Akhil Lokhande, the illegitimate son of a Bankok billionaire. His father,Pannala Johri whose photo is hanging on the wall with a garland bequeathed his entire wealth to Entertainment (Junior), his pet dog since he can’t find out his real son, Akhil in his life time. Saakshi is Akhil’s girlfriend. He somehow reaches Bankok with his best buddy friend, Jugnu and plans to get rid of the dog standing in between him and the billions of money. Now here are the villains, Karan and Arjun who are eyeing the same wealth. So, it’s time to get rid of these people first. The rest of the story should be watched on the screen itself.
The jokes are usual and repetitive. Dialogues using actors names and the humor in this film are just for the child in you. But the scenes where Akshay and the doggie are found together seem really cute and nice.
However, the direction is really bad and full of absurdities lacking logic. They tried hard to make the audience laugh. Many scenes fail to make you laugh. The stunts, the visuals and the screenplay are just ok.
Akshay is a Khiladi and everyone knows it well. He’s best in comedy and so he did well in this film too regardless how bad the flic is. Johny Lever and Tamannah failed doing their roles justice while Mithun Chakraborty played his part well as Tamannah’s father.
The film was just ok to bear till the villains entered. These two guys just spoiled the remaining part of the film with their awful acting making the audience feel a very lengthy film.
Verdict: Overall, Entertainment can be watched just once and all those Akshay fans may like it to some extent.
