Balwinder Singh is a Hindi comedy film directed by Sunil Agnihotri and produced by Mika Singh, Sunil Agnihotri, Vandana Jain starring Mika Singh, Shaan, Gabriela Bertante, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vindu Dara Singh.
The film is about two struggling Punjabi singers or actors who come to Mumbai to make their dreams come true. Somehow both share the same name, Balwinde Singh and fall in love with a single girl and are also forced to rent a room together.
Things become complicated when a millionaire, Anupam Kher searches for his long lost grandson, Balwinder, the sole heir of his property. For no surprise, the two Balwinders, one from Patiala and another from Ludhiana claim to be the millionaire’s missing grandson. But who’s telling the truth? Who is the lost grand child?
Coming to the story, the film seems to be a mishmash of various multiple films. It got inspired from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Andaz Apna Apna, and Golmaal. The first of the film entertains decently but with time, things go haywire. A scene or two are just bearable but the writing is neither clever nor funny for you to laugh out loud. The length of the film is yet another issue. It’s way too lengthy making you to feel to leave the film and go.

Both Mika and Shaan did their debut film comfortably on camera. Mika steals the show and Shaan is easy on the eye but his overacting irritates a lot. As said before there’s no such issues with Mika who even got better with songs.
The Brazilian actress, Gabriela Bertante couldn’t do good at acting and dancing at all. Her screen presence is also very limited. Anupam Kher entry was late but still he once again proved what a skil;led actor is like.
Verdict: The film, Balwinder Singh Famous Hogaya is an average film and you may like to skip it.
