Amit Sahni Ki List is a romantic comedy Hindi film directed by Ajay Bhuvan and produced Pyxis Pictures, Tina Nagpaul,Kavita Kulkarni, Sujata Vemuri by starring Vir Das, Vega Tamotia, Anindita Nayar, Kavi Shastri, Natasha Rastogi. It was released on 18th July, 2014.
The story revolves around Amit Sahni, a successful investment banker’s quests, pursuits, and twists in finding love and Miss Perfect based on his list. Amit is a quirky banker who searches for his dream girl who in fact is the girl of his list. He had a painful break-up during his teenage days and so, he had noted down few traits he is looking for in a girl or Miss. Perfect. Everytime he goes on a date, he checks if the girl has everything in his list. The twists and turns take place while he keeps on searching for her and this is what makes the film comedy.
In the opening scene, he dumps a girl for just not liking Sachin Tendulkar. Later, he falls for a free spirited girl, Mala but his mind confuses his heart playing cruelly when he meets the girl of his list, Devika.
The actors have done a great job and the comedy was also quite interesting but the story somehow is unable to engage the audience and that is where Amit Sahni Ki List failed. Few scenes are unfunny while the songs are pointless. Few dialogues were written quite badly which seem totally disappointed and even the second half is quite predictable. You won’t see anything that will surprise you or amaze you.
Verdict: Overall, Amit Sahni Ki List is an average film and it totally depends on your taste. If you have enough time, you may watch it else it’s better to skip this film.
