The story features a slightly more mature Peter Parker fighting his arch enemies and leaping his way through the city scaling the buildings. It takes us back to Peter's childhood when he was left with his aunt by his parents who wanted to escape a certain death in the city. Peter is left with sweet sour memories of his parents left wondering as to why he was abandoned.

Enter Emma Stone, Peter's love interest, who, interestingly, knows about his identity from the start. Not everything is hunky dory between them and they part ways. What follows is a resurrection of Spider-Man and gut wrenching fights with his childhood friend, Dane and the good-guy-gone-bad Jamie Foxx.

All characters play true to their part but I was most impressed and intrigued with Jamie who effortlessly slips into his. For once, I felt that Peter Parker played by Andrew lacked a bit in luster. For once, Spider-Man is not just a super human but a human being with sensitivity, the one who laughs and cries.

The plot may seem like old wine in a new bottle in most bits but the 3D effects are worth watching it for.
