18.11…A Code of Secrecy is a Hindi film directed by Md. Mohibul Haque and produced by Merina Haque starring Rehal Khan, Nipon Goswami, Gulshan Grover, Mukesh Tiwari. It was released on 13th June, 2014. The story is about a software engineer who gets arrested for planting bombs in the city, Mumbai, Kashmir, and Guwahati.Is he terrorist or not? What is this story about?
The story is set in the year 2008 and the film is all about anti-bomb blast. The movie’s heart is placed at right place but its execution is too idealistic and may not be liked by the audience. Terrorism can’t be dealt so lightly and the real terrorists don’t acknowledge their identity.
But this happens in this film. Few men chant ‘terrorism zindabad’ slogans in Afghan accent which is very hilarious. All the dialogues exceed action and all the characters speak a lot and do nothing. Moreover, the songs are terrible. These are placed badly.
Rehal Khan did a good job with his presence as a lead actor but highly ambitious story failed him. Supporting roles by Nipon Khan, Gulshan and Mukesh Tiwari also did well in the film.
Verdict: The production if 18.11…A Code of Secrecy was decent but the idea of science and crime wasn’t good. It’s better to skip.
