Strawberry Meringue Cream

 

Strawberry Meringue Cream is a simple yet fabulous desert and is a perfect choice. The tempting look itself can create an urge to have it soon. No guest can regret to taste it. It’s commonly known as Etson Mess and is a perfect last minute desert.

 

Ingredients:

 

Large egg whites – 4

Sugar – 1 ¼ cups

Unsalted butter – 1 ¼ cups

Pure vanilla extract – 1 tsp

Pureed strawberry jam – 1 ½ cups

 

Method:

 

1. Take a heatproof bowl of an electric mixer and put it over a saucepan and simmer the flame. Mix egg whites and sugar. Cook while whisking continuously till sugar dissolves.

 

2. Take a bowl with a whisk attached to it. Beat the egg white mixture till it forms stiff peaks. Keep on beating till it becomes fluffy and cools down or for about 6 minutes.

 

3. Now switch to the paddle attachment and add butter all at a time and beat well. Keep on beating till it becomes smooth. Add vanilla and beat at slow speed to avoid bubbles for about 2 minutes.

 

4. Now add strawberry jam and stir well till it’s smooth. You can garnish with strawberries and serve.
