The level of sebum is relatively less in dry skinnies compared to combination skinnies and oily skinnies. It easily tends to sensitivity. When comes in contact with soap or that contains detergents, it feels as if it stretched and irritating. So it is necessary to take proper care of dry skin and follow the required steps. Note that dry skin is different and dehydrated skin is different. Your skin may become dry due to dehydration as well. So don't confuse with it as dry skin.

 


1. Don't use too much of tap water since it dries skin easily. Try to use mineral water to wash your face. i know it's not possible but at least you can check how safe your tap water is and use it as less as possible. Also you can keep rose water spray bottle available in the market and use it.

2. Cleanse your skin regularly. Do not wash your face with soap. Use a neutral soap for body. Instead cleanse with a cream based cleanser. Leave a thin layer of it on your skin to keep it moist.

3. After taking bath apply a good moisturizer or baby oil. It's really good.

4. Before going to bed apply a good and mild night cream. Check that the cream is not thick and heavy. This isn't good for your eye area at all. Instead you can use eye cream or gel.

5. Try to stay away from detergents. If you touch them or use them, make sure you use a good moisturizer or a good hand cream and foot cream to restore the lost moisture immediately.

6. After taking bath don't forget to moisturize your face. Also see that your moisturizer is thin (not thick) or a gel since it gets absorbed easily.

7. Always take shower with lukewarm water. Also wash your hands and feet with lukewarm water only.

8. Exfoliate at least once a week. Moisturizers tend to work easily and in a better way on exfoliated skin. So exfoliate your body skin with a good scrub and facial skin with a gentle scrub. You can do this twice a week also.

9. Treat your facial skin with facial masks at least once a week. You can try various home made masks as which is cheaper when compared to that in parlors.

10. Before going out and before going to bed, moisturize your hands and feet. You can also wear socks and gloves. This locks the moisture and helps you get super soft hands and feet like a baby.

11. Lips become dry very soon and easily. So invest on a good lip balm and keep it with you always. Whenever you feel your lips became dry, instead of licking them, apply the lip balm.

12. Fish oil pills work excellently for dry super dry skins. It seems to show results in few weeks itself.

13. Olive oil seems to work great for dry skins. Apply little oil and it can cure the dryness easily.

14. Take magnesium, vitamin C, essential fatty acids, beta carotene etc. which are good food for dry skin. If you are a chocolate lover like me, then be happy. Yes, you can add dark chocolate to your meal. Also add oranges, salmons, fatty fish, and carrots to your meal.

15. Milk cream, honey, extra virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, aloe Vera, coconut milk, vitamin E are mostly known to treat dry skin.
