Red Pepper Tart

 

 

Red pepper tart is a healthy dish. Check out how you can make it at home yourself and enjoy the taste with your family and friends. It takes 10 min to prepare and 2 hrs 20 min to prepare sreving 4 people.

 

 

Ingredients:

 

Large Tomatoes - 4

 

Red peppers - 2

 

Sprig thyme (or 1/2 tsp dry thyme) - 1

 

Olive oil -10 ml

 

Puff pastry - 150g

 

Salt - Asper taste

 

Coarsely Ground black pepper - As per requirement

 

 

Method:

 

1. Preheat oven to 180 deg centigrade and cut the tomatoes into halves. Take these pieces in a tray and spray thyme. Cook for 2 hours in the oven.

 

2.  Cut the red peppers into quarters and remove the seeds. Heat the olive oil in a pan and saute the pepper pieces for about 3 mn.

 

3. Rll out the puff sheet of 6 mm thick to fit a 7" cake tin. Grease this tin and put all the peppers and tomatoe pieces on the bottom.

 

4. Sprinkle black pepper and cover it with a pastry sheet. Tuck the pastry in and round the filling.

 

5. Cook in the oven for about 12 - 15 min and turn out such that the filling faces upwards.

 

6. Serve hot.
