#1 It is concentration

 

It’s actually de-concentration. Concentration requires efforts but mediation is relaxation of mind. It means letting go off things and stay in deep rest.

 

 

#2 It is a religious practice

 

It’s an ancient practice which transcend all the religions. It has the ability to bring all the religions, faiths, and nations to bring together.

 

 

#3 It is for old people

 

It’s universal and is meant for all the age groups. Children from 8 or 9 years of age to old people in 90s can do it. It cleans the mind.

 

 

#4 It is self-hypnotising

 

It’s an antidote for hypnosis. In hypnotism, the person need not be aware of what is going on around him/her while meditation is complete awareness of things going on. The consciousness is fresh and clear. Those who meditate often can’t be hypnotised easily.

 

 

#5 It is about controlling thought

 

We neither invite thoughts not they come on our invitation. We get to know them when they arrive. Controlling thought need effort while meditation doesn’t need any effort. We imply move deep into inner peace.

 

 

#6 It is a way to run away from problems

 

It’s not to run away from problems. In fact, it helps you to face problems with smile on face always. You’ll be able to handle situations pleasantly. It nurtures inner strength and self-esteem.

 

 

#7 It needs hours to go deep

 

You don’t have to meditate for hours for deeper experience. Connecting to inner core is possible in just a moment. With regular practice, your meditation quality improves.

 

 

#8 You’ll become a monk

 

If you want to meditate, you have to give up material life. Who said it? You can live the same usual life and catch the spiritual path too. In fact, your life style quality improves with meditation. You’ll be able to live happily with your family and friends with peaceful mind.

 

 

#9 It’s possible at certain times only in few directions

 

There’s nothing like specific time and specific direction is good for meditation. The only thing is that you shouldn’t do it with full stomach. However you’ll be able to do it easily during sunrise and sunset. If these timings aren’t possible for you, you can do it at your spare time.
