Bhatura

 

Deep fried and unhealthy but who doesn’t love chole bhature? So, here is the way to make a perfect bhature. Check out this secret recipe and make a perfect bhatura for yourself.

 

Ingredients:



Flour – 2 cups

Sooji – 3tbsp

Yogurt – 4tbsp

Olive oil – 1tbsp

Sugar – ½ tsp

Baking powder – 1tsp

Salt – As per taste

Oil – As per required

 


Method:



1. Mix all the ingredients above and make a soft dough out of it. Make sure it’s neither too hard nor too soft. Cover it with a wet cloth and leave it for 3 – 4 hours.

 

2. Pinch off some of the dough and make small balls of a lemon sized and apply little oil so that it doesn’t stick and roll into thick round roti. These should be neither thick not thin.

 

3. Heat some oil for deep frying in a vessel and once the oil is hot enough, lower the flame. Slide the bhatura into the oil.

 

4. Use the back of the ladle and gently press in the center and along the edges. See the bhatura will slowly puff. Now flip and fry the other side till it turns light golden brown. Bature should cook inside and puff up.
