Guacamole is a Mexican dish which is a dip made from avocados. All you need for this recipe is ripe avocados, salt, lime juice, cilantro, onion and tomato. To make it perfect, ripe avocados should be used.
Ingredients:
Ripe avocados – 2
Kosher salt – ½ tsp
Fresh lime/lemon juice – 1tbsp
Minced red onion/thinly sliced green onion – 2tbsp to ½ cup
Serrano chiles, stems, and seeds removed, minced – 1 to 2
Finely chopped Celantro leaves and tender stems – 2tbsp
Freshly grated black pepper – As per requirement
Chopped Ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed – ½
Red radish and tortilla chips – As much required
Method:
1. Cut and remove seeds from avocados. Scoop out avocado with a knife or spoon and take it in a mixing bowl.
2. Mash the avocado and add some salt and lime or lemon juice. Then add chopped onion, cilantro, chilies and black pepper.
3. Cover it with a plastic wrap on the surface and refrigerate. This is to prevent oxidation from the air.
4. You can add chopped tomatoes to guacamole before serving.
5. If you want to do it quickly, then just mix ¼ cup salsa in your mashed avocados. The simplest version of Guacamole is mashed avocados with salt.
6. You can even add sour cream or cottage cheese to it.
