Summer has gone and now it’s monsoon time. Whatever season it may be, you always need to exfoliate dead skin cells. So, here is a list of best face scrubs especially for monsoon.

Face Scrubs

Oatmeal Scrub:

Those with dry skin accumulate dead skin cells easily when compared to oily skin. Oatmeal scrub is for your dry skin and this also helps in reducing the skin pore size. So, how to prepare it? Simply take half a cup of oatmeal and mix yogurt, few drops of lemon juice to it and make a thick paste. Apply this to your face and scrub gently in circular motion. Leave it for few minutes letting your skin to absorb its benefits and then rinse well.

Papaya Scrub:

Papaya is a good moisturizer and so this also suits dry skin well. Make a paste with few papaya seeds, oatmeal and sugar and scrub your face with it gently in circular motion, leave it for few minutes and then rinse well. This also reduces the pore size. Try doing this twice a week.

Walnut Scrub:

Most of us love walnut scrub. It cleanses the skin pores well. This one suits both oily and dry skin but dry skin people need to moisturize later. Grind few walnuts until it turns coarse and mix some honey. Honey is used here since it’s a great skin moisturizer. Add few drops of rose water as well. Apply this to your face and gently scrub with your finger tips. Leave it for few minutes and then rinse well.

Brown Sugar Scrub:

We know that sugar is an excellent scrub irrespective of skin type. Simply mix some brown sugar with some olive oil or coconut oil and apply it to your face evenly and scrub your face in circular motion with your finger tips. Leave it for some time and then rinse well.

These are few of the best homemade natural scrubs. Scrub your facial skin to remove dead skin cells at least twice a week. Dry skin needs scrubbing thrice a week. But make sure you do not scrub more than thrice a week. After scrubbing or exfoliating your skin, it’s extremely important to moisturize your skin properly else it’ll become dry. Many people skip this part feeling their skin became smooth and it doesn’t need further moisture which isn’t true. Although after exfoliation, your skin feels soft, it’s not moisture you are feeling on your skin. So, scrub and then moisturize your skin twice to thrice a week and keep your skin clean and healthy.
