Saree is the Indian traditional dress and people from different states wear this 9 yard saree in different styles. Have you ever wondered how many styles are there to drape a saree? Traditional Way:

 

 

This is the most famous saree draping style and is also called the Nivi style and was born in the state, Andhra Pradesh. This style is adopted by many Indian women round the globe and in India.

The saree is taken round the waist once and then pleats are made to tuck in and the remaining saree is again taken round from right to left and put on the left shoulder which is called pallu.

 

Rajrani Style:

 

 

This unique style as the name suggests refers to the royal style of wearing a saree. This is most suitable to wear on special occasions like festivals, weddings, etc.

Take an end f the saree and tuck n neatly at the center and take it round the waist once. Take the pallu from the back to the front over the right shoulder and make pleats. Eave the loose en a little above the knee and pin it to the right shoulder. Now start making pleats of the middle section of the saree. Finally take the pallu and pin it to the left shoulder. Make sure the saree is heavily embellished and you wear suitable jewelry t give it a royal look.

 

Lehenga Style:

 

 

The recent and mostly preferred form of wearing a saree is Lehenga style. This one is specially known for the comfort. The only difference between a normal saree and lehenga is that a saree is a 6-9 yards of cloth while lehenga has a stitched skirt with a zip on a side making it easy to wear. Al you need to do s just tuck a corner end of the pallu at the center of the waist into the skirt, make pleats of the other end and pin it to the left shoulder.

 

Mumtaz Style:

 

 

Have you seen the song ‘Aaj ka tere mere pyar ke charche…’? If so, then you are well aware of this Mumtaz style. Due to this song, this saree style has gone viral. The saree goes well with embroidered borders. If you want to try this, you need to first wear your saree just like the usual way and then the additional eye catching step follows. Leave a long pallu before you put it over the shoulder than usual. Wrap it before doing the last step. S, whatever may be the style you choose, all you need to do is choose a perfect fitting blouse and drape it well.
